Koratoras works from Aotearoa, New Zealand. He constructs each surface through layers of acrylic paint , metal flake and resin onto canvas. The making is the ceremony. What remains is the work.
His work has been exhibited in New York, Beijing and across Aotearoa, including Toi Tū Toi Ora at Auckland Art Gallery. Most recently Koratoras is the recipient of the people’s choice award at the Waikato Museum Contemporary art awards in 2025.
